    Tesla to begin the production of Roadster by 2024

    Elon Musk announced the second-generation Tesla Roadster during the unveiling of the Tesla Semi truck in November 2017. However, there have been delays in bringing the Roadster to market, and little updated information has been shared since the initial reveal. 

    During Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting in May 2023, Musk stated he expects the design and engineering requirements for the Roadster to be completed by the end of 2023, with production potentially starting in 2024.

    The Roadster was initially touted to have impressive performance specifications, including a target 0-60 mph time of 1.9 seconds, a quarter-mile goal of 8.9 seconds, and a top speed of over 250 mph. Musk also mentioned the possibility of a “Space X Package” for the Roadster, incorporating cold gas thrusters to enhance its performance.

    Tesla has faced delays with previous vehicle releases, such as the Tesla Semi and Cybertruck. While Elon Musk expressed confidence in the Roadster’s eventual production, waiting for further updates and progress is essential before drawing any conclusions.
