Ducati recalls 1072 Scambler 1100 in the USA

In the USA Ducati, Scrambler 1100 gets a recall. And below is the information from NHTSA.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,072 

Problem Description: Ducati North America (Ducati) recalls certain 2018-2021 Scrambler 1100 motorcycles. 

• All Ducati Portfolio 
• Imola sees 2021 Aprilia Tuono 1100 being tested
• Triumph Tiger 900 series recalled
• Bimota starts tests on KB4

The exhaust valve cable could contact the primary positive battery wire and potentially short-circuit. 

Consequence: An electrical short-circuit increases the risk of fire. 

Remedy: Ducati will notify owners. And dealers will install a new cable guide and self-locking cable tie to the exhaust valve cable, free of charge. 

The recall comes expected to begin in January 2021.
