The Yamaha YZF-R15 V4 has received an update with a new variant called the ‘Dark Knight’ edition. Priced at Rs 1.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this version of the R15 V4 features a predominantly black colour scheme with gold highlights. The Yamaha and R15 logos, as well as the alloy wheels, are adorned with golden accents.Â
Dark Knight
Regarding specifications, the Dark Knight edition remains unchanged from the standard R15 V4. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, 155cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.4 horsepower and 14.2Nm of torque. The bike features a delta box frame with a USD fork and mono-shock for suspension. Braking duties are handled by a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, supported by a dual-channel ABS.

In the Indian market, the Yamaha R15 V4 competes with other small-capacity, fully-faired sportbikes such as the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (priced between Rs 1.92 lakh and Rs 2.02 lakh) and the KTM RC 200 (priced at Rs 2.18 lakh). Hero MotoCorp is also set to launch the Hero Karizma XMR, which will join this lineup of sports bikes.
