BMW India has officially unveiled the BMW G 310 RR, its first small-capacity sportbike. Developed jointly by BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company, the BMW G 310 RR is an entry-level sportbike promises to deliver a racing experience to every rider.

Racing DNA
The BMW G 310 RR is a road-legal racing bike blurs the boundaries between supersport and small-capacity bikes.
While based on a very different price point and overall platform, the G 310 RR does not break from a proven successful formula of Apache RR 310.
Called the BMW G 310 RR, the new entry-level model arrives as the first in a series of BMW models to be manufactured locally with the help of TVS.
Using the chassis, engine and bodywork from TVS manufacturing partner TVS Motor Company’s Apache RR 310 model, BMW can introduce a budget-friendly sportbike doesn’t compromise on design or quality.
It is quite an interesting little motorcycle. For starters, it’s a thoroughbred member of the BMW family. But more importantly, it inherits a lot of its design language from the hot-selling BMW Apache RTR 200. It uses all but the livery used in Apache RR 310.
Change in livery
The livery used for BMG G 310 RR is black Standard livery and M-Performance-inspired Style Sports shade.
We see everything the same when we compare Apache 310 RR and BMW G 310 RR, from dual LED headlight to 5 inches vertical TFT console. However, RR has four ride modes (urban, track, sport and rain) which we don’t see in G 310 RR.
Like its siblings, G 310 GS and G 310 R, the G 310 RR features a TVS’s liquid-cooled 313cc, single-cylinder engine, churning out a healthy 25kW (33.5 HP) along with 27.3 Nm (20.1 lb-ft) of torque.
Further, it comes with 17-inch five-spoke wheels and Michelin Pilot Street tires similar to its single-R sibling.
Versatile sportbike
The Bavarians are looking to woo younger customers with the new G 310 RR and more performance-minded fans through their GS family. While the G 310 RR may lack little innovation, it’s a versatile sportbike, and it can perform racing and street tasks.
It comes at a price of ₹285,000 (approx USD 3,575) for the Standard model and ₹299,000 (approx USD 3,750) for the Style Sport variant.
