No one can seem to agree on a clear structure for how it will be perceived from a timeline standpoint.
So, through the use of some solid deductive reasoning and much brainpower, MotoGP has assembled this infographic.
It’s our best understanding of how they will run the championship next year.
2022 pre-season test dates
- Shakedown Test: 31st January – 2nd February
- Sepang Test: 5th – 6th February
- Mandalika Test: 11th – 13th February
- Shakedown Test: 31st January – 2nd February

The Moto2™ and Moto3™ classes will have one test at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. Set up takes place on the day preceding the Moto2™ and Moto3™ test.
