With Yamaha, Royal Enfield and Hero reporting positive sales results. We now saw another Indian motorcycle giant TVS Motor’s reporting 20 % growth in December 2020.
December YOY sales
According to Business, Standard TVS sold 258,239 units compared to 215,619 units in December 2019.
Domestic sales
TVS further reported a 13% increase in the domestic sales they sold 176,912 units in December 2020 compared to 157,244 units in December 2019.
When it comes to Motorcycles TVS sold 119,051 units in December 2020 compared to 93,697 units in December 2019, which is 27 % growth.
Scooter sales went up as the TVS sold 77,705 in December 2020 compared to 74,716 units in December 2019.
Exports
On the Export front, TVS in December 2020 sold 94,269 units compared to 73,512 units in December 2019, which is 28% growth.
Whereas TVS reported 39% growth for two-wheeler exports as they sold 81,327 units in December 2020 compared to the 15,952 units in December 2019.
