    Hero Motocorp, Honda India and TVS show decline in motorcycle sells

    The planet has taken a toll by COVID-19 pandemic, and the aftermath is visible.

    For sure, we are talking about the Indian Motorcycle market, and it has hit.

    As per the stats provided by Autoeconomictimes, there are multiple motorcycle manufacturers announced a decline in their sales.

    Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd

    We take a look at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), and they are down by almost 37 % they had sold 2,02,837 two-wheelers in June 2020 compared to 3,09,332 units in July 2020.

    However, there is an increase in export which was 8,042 exported in June compared to 12,251 units in July.

    TVS Motor 

    On the other hand, TVS Motor announced a 9.56 % decline in July 2019 they had sold 279,465 units compared to 252,744 in July 2020.

    Month on month sales has grown by 7 27 %. They sold 198,387 units in June 2020.

    Domestic sales went down by 9 %, which is 189,647 units as against 208,489 units in 2019.

    Hero Motocorp

    Hero registered a marginal decline, which is 0.86 % YoY. So in July 2020, they sold 506,946 units of motorcycles and scooters.

    Compared to the 511,374 units in July 2019 and reached more than 95% of wholesale dispatch nos compared to the corresponding months in July 2019.
