7-time motorcycle land-speed record holder and charter member of the Mojave Magnum “200 MPH Club ” Valerie Thompson walks with minor injuries after her BUB 7 land speed crashed on the Australian Salt.By this time she was going at the speed of 343 miles per hour.
After the analysis of accident the official report specified the tail-end of the streamliner was lift off the ground at which point Thompson deployed chutes which supposedly helped to stabilize the 3,000cc 500 horsepower rig, making the crash markedly less ferocious than it could have been otherwise.

The streamliner went sliding on its one side approximatley for over an mile before it stopped.While this was not the result which Valerie and her Team 7 was expecting for, but moreover her safety gear did the best job for her as she did not suffer any major injury.
