The beating heart of the Imperiale 400 is the new single-cylinder, four-stroke, aircooled engine with a single overhead camshaft timing system and electronic fuel injection offering maximum fuel economy in any riding conditions. Its maximum power is 20.4 hp (15.5 kW) at 5500 rpm, with torque of 28 Nm (2.95 kgm) at 3500 rpm. Â
Extremely easy to ride and handle, the Imperiale 400 has a compact and durable double cradle frame made of steel tubes and plates. The front suspension features a telescopic fork with legs having a 41 mm diameter and 110 mm travel, while the rear has a swinging arm with double shock absorber and travel of 65 mm.
